Ayesha Adeel, M.A. Counselling Psychology

Ayesha is a deeply empathetic and compassionate therapist who is known for creating a warm, welcoming space where clients feel safe, supported, and comfortable sharing even the most difficult and deeply personal aspects of their lives. Her non-judgmental presence allows individuals to feel heard, seen, and supported as they navigate their healing journey. She believes that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering experience, grounded in trust and authenticity.

Ayesha holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, is a Registered Counselling Therapist in Nova Scotia, and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. With a medical background (M.D.) and advanced training in mental health, Ayesha brings a holistic approach to her practice.Her experience includes hospitals, schools, and private practice, working with clients from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds. Ayesha supports teens (11+), adults, and elderly in addressing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, relationship issues, low self-worth, and multicultural issues.

Ayesha uses a trauma-informed, integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based interventions—tailoring each session to meet the individual needs of her clients. Ayesha offers therapy in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, creating a supportive space where individuals can express themselves comfortably in their preferred language. With a culturally responsive and inclusive approach, she works with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including newcomers, immigrants, racialized individuals, and indigenous peoples. Her in-person and virtual sessions are designed to be accessible, welcoming, and rooted in respect for each person’s unique story and identity.

Mariana Lima, M.A. Counselling Psychology

Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C)

Mariana holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and a Clinical Psychology degree from the University of Salvador in Brazil. Mariana has an extensive background in perinatal mental health, multicultural counseling, and supporting those navigating immigration challenges. Her experience spans work with diverse clients, from children (4 years and above), parents, people from different ethnic/ cultural backgrounds, and first responders. She offers therapeutic support that addresses trauma, violence, addiction, parenting, emotional and behavioral difficulties with children, and cultural issues.

With her specialized training in Attachment-Based Parenting, Children-Based Therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mariana Lima effectively supports clients facing a variety of mental health challenges. She is particularly skilled in assisting parents navigating attachment and parenting challenges, and those seeking strategies for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, stress, and personal growth. She also supports children with a wide range of issues, from emotional and behavioral difficulties to specific mental health concerns. Mariana’s training also includes Grief and Bereavement Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Crisis Intervention, equipping her to help clients dealing with grief, bereavement, crisis situations, and behavioral concerns.

Mariana’s humanistic, and empathetic approach fosters a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, build resilience, and work toward personal growth. Her work is guided by the belief that every person deserves to feel understood and supported, especially during life transitions such as becoming a parent, moving to a new country, or other new adjustments in life. She strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their feelings, build resilience, and foster a sense of belonging. Katie Witten, M.A. Counselling Psychology

Counsellor (CCC) 

Katie is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), holding a Master of Education in Counselling from Acadia University. She is also a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), authorized to practice in Ontario. With over three and a half years of experience, Katie has developed a strong foundation in mental health through her work in eating disorder clinics, community mental health centers, and private agencies. Her extensive background equips her to support clients facing a wide range of complex issues, and she is passionate about creating a welcoming therapeutic space for clients of all ages.

Katie’s approach to therapy is rooted in building a trusting and compassionate relationship with her clients. She combines a variety of evidence-based techniques to address each client’s unique needs and goals, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Parts Work, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach allows her to meet clients where they are and guide them toward meaningful personal growth.
